We attempt to schedule appointments at your convenience and when time is available. We prefer to schedule children under seven years of age and children with special needs during the morning hours for their comfort; school-aged children who require extensive treatment also do best having morning appointments.
Like physician visits, dental appointments are an excused absence from school and we will be happy to provide your child with an excuse note to take back to school. Missing school can be kept to a minimum when regular dental care is continued.
Appointed times are reserved exclusively for each patient and we ask that you please notify our office at least 24 hours in advance if you need to reschedule your appointment; we can use the available time to treat another patient who needs our care.
We make every effort to be an on time office, and as a courtesy to us and our other patients, we ask that you arrive on time for your appointments. We realize that unexpected things can happen but we ask for your assistance so that we can provide the same quality experience for everyone. Should there be more than two missed or short notice cancellations, we reserve the right to no longer appoint your child.
We invite you to stay with your child during the initial examination. During future appointments we suggest, however, you allow your child to accompany our staff through the dental experience. We can usually establish a closer rapport with your child when a parent or guardian is not present. Our purpose in this practice is to gain your child’s confidence and to minimize your child’s apprehension. If you choose, however, you may come with your child to the treatment room. For the safety and privacy of all patients, other children who are not being treated should remain in the reception area with a supervising adult.
For your convenience we offer online appointments to be requested. Please note: Once you have requested an appointment online, we ask that you confirm your request by calling our office within 24 hrs. of selecting an appointment. If we do not hear from you within 24 hrs. to confirm your request, your appointment may be released to another patient. Please be sure to have your dental insurance information (if applicable), available upon confirming.
Also: We monitor our patient communication through our website regularly, however we ask that you DO NOT use the website to cancel or attempt to reschedule an appointment. Please call us at (978) 462-2227 to cancel or reschedule appointments. Thank you!
