Meet Dr. Matthew Lann

Dr. Matthew D. Lann grew up in Woodbridge, CT and attended Union College in Schenectady, NY where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology. After college he completed a DDS at the Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery in New York and continued his dental education at the Harvard University School of Dental Medicine where he earned a Certificate in Periodontics and a Masters in Medical Science (MMSc) in Oral Biology. As a part of the MMSc, he participated in research at the Joslin Diabetes Center in Boston. Dr. Lann is board certified and became a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology in 2004.

Practicing since 2003, Dr. Lann has extensive training and experience in all aspects of periodontics including but not limited to: prevention, surgical and non-surgical treatment of periodontal disease, periodontal cosmetic surgery including gingivectomy, frenectomy, aesthetic crown lengthening, soft tissue grafting, and all aspects of implant dentistry. In additional, Dr. Lann has advanced training in laser dentistry and is certified in the LANAP protocol for the treatment of periodontal disease and in the LAPIP for the treatment of peri-implantitis. 

Dr. Lann maintains a dental license in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. He is member of the American Dental Association, Massachusetts Dental Society, American Academy of Periodontology, and American Board of Periodontology.  He is also an active member of the philanthropic Alpha Omega International Dental Society and serves as the Boston Alumni Chapter’s president.  When not working, Dr. Lann has an active family life with his wife, and two children, and their 2 dogs.
